New Year! December 29, 2010
I am so excited about 2011! 2010 has been a roller coaster of a year that I’ve been overall happy with. I’m just ready to see what 2011 holds.
The Two-Minute (of Reading) Re-Cap of 2010
- I started giving piano lessons to the most amazing girls ever.
- I learned my lesson dating this one guy and learned my lesson about breaking hearts and thinking properly.
- My wonderful, healthy grandmother went Home, and she’ll always be my Gram
- I. AM. [a] DRUM MAJOR. (There’s a whole story behind it too; I’m compiling a huge post about my drum major adventures.)
- I started running.
- I met an old friend all over again at Drum Major camp.
- Mission Accompplished: I went on my first mission trip. It was amazing.
- I finally came to terms with ‘Claim Data Warrant’ papers.
- I rocked the entire semester of Accounting and Calculus
- I got accepted to BELMONT!!
- Hard work, dedication, and prayer worked off: I took home Best in Class Drum Major… with her.
- I AM a Belmont Bruin!
- I actually made it through the entire band season without slaughtering someone. (Photos, yes?)
- I had surgery on my ear so that it doesn’t stick out. It’s not like I got my boobs enlarged. -.-
- I’m apparently known as a “cool kid” now to those not in band.
- I got my first speeding ticket. Such a bad girl, I know.
- I got my first rude/hate comment, and I had to write this.
-I saw the Rockettes! It was awesome.
However my year has ended quite badly. I don’t want to go into details at the moment as things are final/for sure. I love that people in my school and community read my blog; I just don’t want them talking more than they most likely already are. It’s better they know when things happen. At least then, they’ll know what really happened. I absolutely promise to write a blog about this situation as it progresses; it’s completely life changing.
Tomorrow, my dad, brother, our neighbors, and I are going to Nashville to the Music City Bowl to see Tennessee play North Carolina! GO VOLS! I can’t wait to see Tyler Bray play. <3 This is my first bowl game. My dad has been to tons, and my brother has been to like four. Not to mention, it's my first Tennessee game I've been to in two years because of band.
On New Year's Eve, I having my first by myself, non-chaperoned party EVER. I usually have Christmas party on the last day of school before break, but this year I decided it was time for a late night party. I'm super excited.
You're expecting a list of new year's resolutions/ right?
